Bent Metal Biscuit

Bent Metal is a newer binding brand out there. For those unfamiliar, Bent Metal is owned by Mervin Manufacturing. Mervin also owns GNU and Lib Tech - so you know you are getting a quality product. The Bent Metal Biscuit is the first binding offering from Mervin. The Biscuit's come in both a base and an enhanced Biscuit ++ model. Both models are medium flex freestyle and all-mountain bindings. The base model features an ultralight nylon highback which is upgraded to plastic polymer with leather padding in the Biscuit ++ model. Both features a Ricardo leather strap with super foam.

Riders are adopting Bent Metal products very quickly. The Bent Metal Biscuit is a great fit with many Mervin snowboards, such as the Lib Tech Skate Banana (check out the bright yellow model). The Biscuit ++ model will run you about $30 more than the base model and is definitely worth the upgrade because of the plastic polymer highback and baseplate. The binding is a great all-mountain offering with a slight freestyle flavor. It is both durable and precise.

I got the bent metal biscuits last season and at first they were really nice. But after a while the seems on the straps blew out and two of the ratchet springs broke. On top of all of that, the mounting hardware was constantly coming loose, and because the bases of these bindings don’t have any padding or bushings, the plastic scratched some of my topsheet off of my board. My advice, don’t buy these unless they’re on sale. If you’re going to pay full price for bindings get some unions and you’ll be alot happier.

Strap are super comfy… yeah they did streach a bit but you just have to screw one hole short after… little problem whit one spring rachet but it is ok and next year model are haven better… top bindings for me… will buy again!

You moron. You should buy a new set of bindings every year if you’re a true rider. of course they break, all shit breaks when you ride it hard. If it lasts a season for me im stoked.

Tom, you are callins someone a moron because they expect their stuff to last more than one season? Sorry bro, you need to check yourself. I ride 30 days a year, and while some crap breaks in the first season (burton triad bindings) other stuff lasts very long (like my mission bindings). The triad bindings were just a crap design. Either way, you need to chill out.
